Man attempts to steal Sea Tow boat at Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center

Man believed to be connected to theft of second boat in Pompano Beach


POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Sea Tow is asking for the public's help in finding a man who attempted to steal a Sea Tow boat early Wednesday at the Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center in Pompano Beach.

According to Sea Tow, surveillance video captured the man attempting to steal the boat at about 12:30 a.m., but he could not put the boat in gear.

The boat was found halfway out of the slip.

Sea Tow employees said they contacted the Broward Sheriff's Office. The same man is believed to be connected to the theft of a boat in Pompano Beach that was reported Tuesday afternoon.

The man was last seen Tuesday night in the vicinity of the Hillsboro Inlet wearing a black baseball cap and a gray swimsuit.
