Police investigate shooting at Church's Chicken

Two men were hospitalized early Sunday morning after a shooting in Fort Lauderdale, the Broward Sheriff's Office reports.

Authorities said the shooting happened at about 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the Church's Chicken at Northwest 24th Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard.

A witness told Local 10 News they saw about six people in the parking lot when the gunshots rang out and that two men were in the parking lot after the shooting.

"As soon as you heard gunshots, everybody just started scattering," said Eihab Farraj, who works across the street from Church's Chicken.

Deputies said the two men were taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
