Man robbed at gunpoint while waiting for bus in Miami

Robbery reported on corner of NE 2nd Avenue, 77th Street


MIAMI – A man was robbed at gunpoint over the weekend while waiting for a bus in Miami, authorities said.

According to Miami police, the victim was sitting at a bus stop at the corner of Northeast Second Avenue and 77th Street at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday when he was approached by a man with a gun who demanded all of his belongings.

In fear of being shot, the victim began to remove his watch, but the robber became impatient and snatched several items off the victim before running away, police said.

Surveillance cameras from a nearby business captured the robber walking by before and after the robbery was committed.

The robber is described as a black man in his early 20s with long dreadlocks. He is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.
