MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Miami Beach police responded to reports of a child who was left inside a car Thursday morning in a parking garage at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
According to police, officers tracked down the parents of the child with the help of hospital employees.

Police said the parents claim that the father was in the backseat with the child the entire time and that the incident appears to be a misunderstanding.
The family is now at their home in Doral, and police said officers will go to the house to make sure that the child is OK.
Police said the parents are cooperating with officers.
