ISLAMORADA, Fla. – Detectives are trying to identify a man who walked out of a Florida Keys store with a pricey pair of sunglasses.

The theft was reported May 31 at the Bud N' Mary's Marina outfitters store.

Surveillance video released Friday by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office shows the man walk into the store and try on a pair of sunglasses. The video shows him put the sunglasses on top of his head, take off his visor and put a tie-strap hat over the glasses, unbeknownst to the cashier.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin said the glasses are valued at $296.

The man drove away in a black Chevrolet Silverado. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call Monroe County sheriff's detectives.
