Broward sheriff's deputies said one of the men approached the register with a bag of chips as if to make a purchase.

During the transaction, the clerk heard the click of a gun being cocked. When he looked up, he saw a second man pointing the gun at him, deputies said.

Authorities said the men ordered the clerk to open the register, and one man went behind the counter to take the money from the register.

Surveillance video shows him rummaging behind the counter before leaving with several cartons of cigarettes.

The robbers are described as white, possibly Hispanic men. The gunman wore a gray shirt, dark green pants and a dark-colored baseball cap. The other man wore a black shirt, black pants and a white and black baseball cap with black writing on the front.

Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
