3 Mexicans die in Orlando massacre

ORLANDO, Fla. – Six years ago, Joel Rayón Paniagua left the city of Córdoba, in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, with big dreams. On Sunday, a gunman ended his life at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

The 32-year-old construction worker was one of the three Mexican migrants who died in the massacre. There were 46 others dead.

"They [authorities] called us. I'm in so much pain," Paniagua's cousin, who did not want to be identified, said in Spanish. "He was a good person."

The other two victims from Mexico were Juan Chavez Martinez from Huichapan and Miguel Angel Honorato from the Tenanguillo de las Cañas.

A fourth Mexican man was wounded and remained hospitalized on Monday in stable condition. There were 52 others wounded -- including Paula Andrea Blanco, of Colombia.
