Coast Guard searches for 2 missing boaters in Florida Keys

Pair expected to arrive in Marathon on Sunday

KEY WEST, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for two missing boaters in the Florida Keys.

A news release from the Coast Guard said Raymond Churchill and Davonna Churchill left Key West on Saturday and were scheduled to arrive in Marathon on Sunday, but they never made it.

The Coast Guard said the Marathon residents haven't been heard from since Saturday. The Coast Guard was notified of the missing boaters Tuesday afternoon and began a search.

The pair of boaters were on board a white 41-foot sailing vessel named the Sea Lark.

Coast Guard crews from Marathon and Key West, along with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, are involved in the search.
