30-40 patients evaluated during Dallas conference

About 40 people suffered burns while walking across hot coals at Robbins' "Unleash the Power Within" seminar in Dallas late Thursday.

USA Today reports that most of the injuries were minor and that an estimated 7,000 people walked across the coals at the event.

Five people ended up being transported to a local hospital.

Robbins claims that a coal-walking experience that gives people a chance to do something that they normally wouldn't do or think possible.

The newspaper claims witnesses said that those that were injured were distracted and either on their cell phones during the walk or taking selfies and pictures.
