PBSO says Dario Dotto, 34, confessed to restraining children, attacking woman

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A West Palm Beach man is in jail on multiple charges after he severely beat a woman at her home during a scheduled repair call, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Dario Dotto, 34, was arrested Saturday. He faces charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and child abuse.

PBSO spokeswoman Teri Barbera said Dotto arrived at the home Friday to repair an air conditioner. Barbera said he restrained the young children in the home and struck the woman multiple times with a blunt object.

The victim was taken to Delray Medical Center to be treated for severe lacerations to her face and head.

Barbera said Dotto confessed to the attack, but a motive isn't known.
