Man walks out of Weston Publix with case-loads of beer

Deputies say this man walked out of a Publix in Weston earlier this month with several cases of beer.

WESTON, Fla. – A man wearing sunglasses to hide his identity walked out of a Weston Publix earlier this month with several cases of beer, for which he failed to pay, authorities said.

The theft was reported Aug. 2 at Publix at 1170 Weston Road.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gina Carter said the man loaded a shopping cart with two cases of Heineken and seven cases of Corona.

He then strolled past the registers without paying for a single beer, Carter said.

Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
