8 vehicles burglarized in Weston neighborhood

Laptop, headphones, watch reported stolen

WESTON, Fla. – Newly released surveillance video shows two people breaking into eight vehicles last month in a Weston neighborhood, Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said.

The late-night burglaries were reported between July 25 and July 26.

Deputies said one of two men first stole money from inside a Nissan Altima. The second man broke into the victim's other car, an Audi TT, but nothing was stolen from the car, deputies said.

The duo is believed to have broken into six other vehicles.

Detectives said the thieves stole numerous items from the vehicles, including an Apple MacBook Pro, Pioneer headphones and an Invicta watch.

In some cases, victims told deputies that only their personal papers had been disturbed.

Detectives said all the vehicles that were burglarized had been left unlocked.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Frederick Anderson at 954-389-2010 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
