1 at-large, 1 arrested on charges of practicing law without license in Coral Springs

Pair worked for loan modification, debt consolidation business

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Coral Springs police are investigating a loan modification and debt consolidation business in their city. 

The business' owners, Joseph Hilton, 56, and Adam T. Forman, 48, have been presenting themselves as licensed Florida attorneys yet are not licensed by the state, police said.

Police, along with the U.S. Attorney General’s Office, searched Asset Protection Law Firm, 3921 NW 126th Ave., Thursday.

The company has operated under several names, including: 

Consumer Legal Advocates II, LLC

Consumer Legal Advocates, INC

The Asset Protection Law Firm, P.A.

The Asset Protection Law Group, P.A

Oracle Marketing Co.

Consumer Legal Resources of Florida, LLC

Police said Hilton was taken into custody, but Forman remains at large.
