POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are trying to identify two men who stole a pair of WaveRunners from outside a Pompano Beach home.
The thefts were reported Aug. 10 from a home on Southwest Fourth Terrace.
BSO spokeswoman Joy Oglesby said the men were trying to remove a trailer carrying the personal watercraft when a neighbor came outside to get something from her vehicle. The men left in a white cargo van but returned a short time later, Oglesby said.
The second time was the charm for the thieves, who rolled the trailer into the street and connected it to their van, Oglesby said.
The theft was caught on surveillance video. Oglesby said one of the men had a large bolt cutter.
