2 assailants sought in Dollar General robbery in Miami

Robbery occurred June 5 on SW 8th Street

MIAMI – Police are searching for two men who robbed two victims at a Dollar General at 5175 Southwest Eighth St. on June 5.

The Miami Police Department said the two armed men walked into the store around 10 p.m. and demanded money from two people, but neither victim was able to meet the demands, so one of the robbers grabbed a cellphone from one of the victims and pistol-whipped the other across the head before leaving the store.

The man who was pistol-whipped was treated by Miami Fire Rescue personnel at the scene.

Police described one of the robbers as black, approximately 5 feet 9 inches and between 130-140 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, white shirt, black bandanna partially covering his face and white shoes.

The other robber is described as black, approximately 5 feet 10 inches, and between 140-150 pounds. He was wearing black shorts, a black beanie hat with Jamaican colors and a black bandanna partially covering his face.
