Man arrested for shooting mother of 6 children multiple times, Miami police say

Terrell Robinson, 30, faces attempted murder charge

MIAMI – A South Florida man has been arrested for shooting a mother of six children multiple times, Miami police announced Friday.

Terrell Robinson, 30, was arrested by U.S. marshals in Oklahoma City.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Miami homicide detectives received a tip that Robinson had boarded a bus to the western part of the U.S.

Detectives identified the bus he was on and U.S. marshals took Robinson into custody Thursday when he arrived in Oklahoma City.

He is expected to be extradited to Miami in the coming days.

Police said Shaqueenia Hana, 35, was shot about 13 times early Tuesday by Robinson outside her home in the 400 block of Northwest 73rd Terrace.

Police haven't disclosed what her relation is to Robinson, but called the shooting a "domestic incident."

Witnesses told Local 10 News that Robinson shot Hana in front of her children, including the youngest, who is just 5 years old.

"A bunch of screaming -- kids were screaming, 'My mom is dead,'" a witness said.

Hana was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.

Detectives identified Robinson as a suspect on the same day as the shooting.

He is expected to be charged with attempted first-degree murder.

A motive for the shooting is unknown.
