Man arrested after burglarizing home in Coral Gables, police say

Isvel Morera-Perez, 39, arrested on charges of burglary, loitering, prowling


CORAL GABLES, Fla. – A man is facing charges after he broke into a home early Monday in Coral Gables, police said.

The incident was reported about 1:40 a.m. in the 2300 block of Country Club Prado.

Police said an officer who was working a burglary task force saw Isvel Morera-Perez, 39, acting suspiciously on Ferdinand Street and arrested him on suspicion of loitering and prowling.

While Morera-Perez was being taken into custody, officers found that he was in possession of property stolen from the home that was burglarized, police said.

Detectives are continuing their investigation to determine whether Morera-Perez is responsible for other crimes in the area.
