FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A white substance - that turned out to be a portion powder -  was found Sunday afternoon onboard an inbound Southwest Airlines flight at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, officials said.

Southwest flight 2293 was coming to Fort Lauderdale from Baltimore and landed at about 10:10 a.m.

The flight crew found the powder under a seat and called local authorities, according a statement by Southwest Airlines.

"Authorities in Fort Lauderdale inspected the aircraft, deemed the substance non-hazardous and have cleared it for take off," the airline's statement said.

The inspection caused flight 1857, which departed from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau, to arrive 90 minutes behind schedule.
