Couple bails out of SUV after being rear-ended at gas station, police say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police are searching for a man Friday who is believed to have been involved in a vehicle burglary in Fort Lauderdale.

Authorities said the man and a woman were found at a gas station inside a silver SUV that had been rear-ended by a black Nissan Altima.

Police said the couple ran away and officers set up a perimeter in the area of Broward Boulevard and Northwest 33rd Avenue.

Police searched neighborhoods in the area and captured the woman, but the man remains on the run.

The identities of the duo have not been released.
