Power restored to building at Jackson Memorial Hospital after outage, FPL says

Cause of outage under investigation

MIAMI – One building at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami experienced a power outage on Monday, Florida Power & Light spokesman Bill Orlove said

Power was restored in the building by 4 p.m.

Someone at the hospital told Local 10 News that on-site engineers said a transformer blew, knocking out power to the West Wing building, but FPL officials said the cause of the outage is still under investigation.

FPL officials said crews are still at the site working on repairs.
