Early voting to take place this week for Miami Lakes mayoral runoff election

Manny Cid won 45 percent of votes in general election

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. ā€“ Early voting will take place Saturday and Sunday in the Miami Lakes mayoral runoff election between incumbent Mayor Michael Pizzi and Councilman Manny Cid.

Early voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mary Collins Community Center at 15151 NW 82nd Ave.

Cid came out on top in the general election with 45 percent of the votes, while Pizzi had 31 percent. Wayne Slaton, who held Pizzi's seat during a criminal investigation against the mayor, had 23 percent.Ā 

Election Day is Nov. 29. and will also be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Miami Lakes residents are asked to vote at the precinct listed on their voter registration card.

Absentee/mail-in ballots will be mailed this week to those who requested it for the general election.
