Lions Club building catches fire in Margate

Crews investigate cause of fire

MARGATE, Fla. – Firefighters put out a fire Sunday morning at the Lions Club building in Margate.

Crews with the Margate-Coconut Creek Fire Department responded to the building when a passerby reported seeing heavy smoke, officials said.

When crews arrived heavy smoke and fire were seen coming from the building's roof.

The fire was extinguished, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
