Local 10 News anchors become principal for the day at Miami Norland Senior High School

Janine Stanwood, Victor Oquendo visit newly-constructed school

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Local 10 News anchors Janine Stanwood and Victor Oquendo were principals for the day at Miami Norland Senior High School in Miami Gardens.

Norland’s real Principal, Reginald Lee, didn’t completely hand over the reins to the two afternoon anchors.

However, he and resident principal Aisha Marrero did show them the ins and outs of the newly-constructed, state-of-the-art school.

The burgeoning TV and communications program boasted new cameras and a control room for aspiring journalists.

Students were also seen practicing in the newly-built auditorium for an upcoming production of "Hairspray."
