MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for a 43-year-old homeless man they believe is responsible for raping a woman and stealing her vehicle.
The incident took place about 2:30 a.m. Monday between Northwest 95th Street and Northwest 21st Avenue.
Police said Calvin Thomas sexually battered the woman, who is in her 20s, before stealing her gray 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer.
Thomas is a violent registered sexual offender who tends to frequent the area near Northwest 71st Street and Northwest 33rd Avenue, police said.
