'Star Wars' actress Carrie Fisher suffers 'cardiac episode'

Actress is in critical condition, Los Angeles Times reports

MIAMI – "Star Wars" actress Carrie Fisher was hospitalized in Los Angeles, after she suffered a cardiac episode during a flight from London to Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Times reports, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

An emergency medical technician who was in the back of the United Airlines flight 935 on Friday helped Fisher about 15 minutes before landing.

Paramedics responded to LAX Terminal 7 and performed CPR on Fisher, who was at UCLA Medical Center, according to TMZ

The 60-year-old actress is best known for her role as Princess Leia. Fisher has been traveling to promote her eighth book, "Princess Diarist," an autobiography.
