PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A motorcyclist was taken to a hospital after a crash Saturday involving multiple vehicles, the Pembroke Pines Police Department said.
Authorities went to the 200 block of Southwest 184th Avenue after 12:30 p.m. Saturday for a crash involving the motorcycle and other three vehicles.
Police said the investigation revealed a Chevrolet Cruze was traveling east in an attempt to cross the southbound then northbound lanes of travel of Southwest 184th Avenue as a Honda motorcycle traveled north on the avenue.
A Kia Soul and a Ford Focus were traveling west in an effort to exit a parking lot and access Southwest 184th Avenue, police said.
Witnesses statements and the initial police investigation revealed the Cruze's driver interfered with the motorcyclist's right of way. Police said the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike when the collision occurred.
The crash caused the motorcycle to impact the Focus, and the Cruze impacted the Soul, police said.
The motorcyclist suffered severe and life-threatening injuries. Police said he was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital and remained hospitalized Saturday. No one else was hurt in the incident.
Police said no charges have been filed at this time.
