2 men, pregnant woman shot in Coconut Grove

No arrests made

MIAMI – Miami police are investigating after three people were shot in Coconut Grove.

The shooting was reported about 11:40 p.m. Monday near 3395 Grand Avenue.

Police said the victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.

The victims include two men and a pregnant woman, police said. The woman was shot in the arm, and one of the men was shot in the leg and the other in the groin and right arm.

Relatives identified one of the injured men as Clarence Leonard, 34, and said the others injured were his girlfriend, Chelsey Rogers and a man known as "Bo."

"He's hanging in there. He's stable right now," Leonard's mother, Sandra Riley, said. "I got in the ambulance with him and went to the hospital and I've been in the hospital the whole night. The whole night."

Riley said she heard the gunshots before seeing that her son was injured.

"I was walking toward him to see him about something and someone said, 'That's your son down there. Your son just got shot.'"

Police are searching for up to two gunmen who fled the scene.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
