Man sought for questioning in police-involved shooting

Miami-Dade police want to speak to Devin Lamar Smith


MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police released a flier Tuesday night asking for the public’s help to find Devin Lamar Smith.

Smith is wanted for questioning in regards to his actions related to a police-involved shooting that took place at about 6:41 p.m. Friday in the area of Southwest 101 Avenue and West Indigo Street. 

Miami-Dade police said officers pulled over a car on West Indigo Street and the passenger took off running.

They said the driver, Jamar Rollins, 21, pulled out a handgun, forcing officers to shoot.
