Man shot in Lauderhill

Shooting leaves man wounded in residential neighborhood


LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A man was shot Saturday in Lauderhill, according to the Lauderhill Police Department

Police responded to the Royal Oaks Apartments, 5401 NW 27th St., after a man was shot, Lt. Greg Solowsky said on Tuesday. 

Lauderhill Fire Rescue rushed him to Broward Health Medical Center.  Witnesses told police a gunman fled in a blue sports utility vehicle. 

Authorities were asking anyone with information to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.

Clarification: Initial reports identified the victim as someone wearing a mail man uniform. Solowsky said on Tuesday that the man was not a Post Office worker.
