Boy, 3, reunited with family after being left behind at Sunrise Chuck E. Cheese

Police say no negligence was detected in this case

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise police have reunited a 3-year-old boy who was left behind at a Chuck E. Cheese Saturday afternoon with his family.

A manager found the child  wandering inside the Chuck E. Cheese at 8089 West Oakland Park Blvd. at about 9:50 p.m.,  police said.

Authorities searched for the child's guardian, but couldn't find the individual.

When they reviewed surveillance video, they found the child was brought into the entertainment chain at about 5:30 p.m. by a woman in her 50s.

About three hours later, the woman left the establishment without the child, police said.

The child was placed in the care of Broward County Child Protective Services.

By Sunday afternoon, the child was reunited with his family.
