Popular Key West crab restaurant ordered shut

Pinchers Crab Shack, Spanky's Cheesesteak Factory in Margate among closures

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – State inspectors were on Duval Street in Key West last week and found a rodent issue inside Pinchers Crab Shack.

Records show rodent droppings were found in the kitchen.

Spanky's Cheesesteak Factory in Margate was also ordered shut for a rodent issue. This is the second time the restaurant has been ordered shut.

Below is a list of places and some of their violations.

All the places listed were allowed to re-open following an ordered clean up and re-inspection.

"Wall and window sills soiled with accumulated grease, food debris, and/or dust."

"Build-up of food debris, dust or dirt on nonfood-contact surface. Tops of steamer ovens."
