Man chased, pistol whipped, robbed in Wilton Manors

Police searching for 2 men in this case

WILTON MANORS, Fla. – A man was pistol whipped and robbed Sunday while walking in Wilton Manors, police said.

The victim was walking at about 3:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Northeast 21st Court when he was approached by two men in a newer dark-colored Honda CRV.

One of the men pointed a handgun at the victim, police said.

The incident was captured on surveillance video.

That action caused the victim to run away, police said, at which point, the two men got back into their vehicle and chased after the victim.

When the men caught up to the victim, they pistol whipped him and stole his personal belongings, police said.

The men fled the area, heading eastbound on Northeast 21st Court inside the Honda CRV.
