Construction worker injured while working on southwest Miami-Dade home

Victim airlifted to local hospital

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A construction worker was injured Monday while working on a two-story home in southwest Miami-Dade County, authorities said.

The incident was reported at 12:15 p.m. at a house that is under construction at the Venetian Parc community at 14907 SW 176th St.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said the victim "suffered a traumatic injury" and was lowered off of the second story of the home in a Stokes basket.

The victim was airlifted to a local hospital, authorities said.

No other details were immediately released.
