Burglars break into homes, vehicles in Davie

Burglaries reported early Wednesday in The Ridge development

DAVIE, Fla. – Davie police are investigating numerous home and vehicle burglaries that were reported early Wednesday.

Police said surveillance video captured at least two men committing burglaries in The Ridge development off Nob Hill Road.

Police said four homes and six vehicles were burglarized.

Authorities said there was no forced entry in any of the burglaries, but the thieves entered through unlocked doors.

Two vehicles were also reported stolen and a vehicle that was stolen in Weston was recovered in the area.

Although surveillance video only shows two men, authorities believe the thieves might have had accomplices.

Electronics and car keys were stolen from the homes, police said.

Detectives warn the public to keep the door to their homes and vehicles locked at all times.

Anyone with information about the identities of the thieves is asked to call Davie police at 954-693-8200 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 95-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
