Giant Rhino Iguana spooks customers at Miami store

MIAMI – An unexpected visitor with a frightening appearance shocked customers shopping at a Miami store on Thursday.

When the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Venom unit responded to the scene at the store on N.W. 32nd Avenue and 79th Street, they found a giant Rhino Iguana on the premises.

Rhinocerous Iguanas can grow in size up to 54 inches, and while some are tame, others can be aggressive.

A bite from a Rhino Iguana can become infected and cause serious health issues.

The iguana was captured and will be turned over to the proper authorities.
