Man accused of fatally shooting victim near Fort Lauderdale

Victim found dead in pickup truck


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man near Fort Lauderdale, authorities said.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies on Friday arrested Larry Bostic, 38, on a premeditated murder charge.

The shooting was reported about 3 a.m. Tuesday near Northwest 28th Avenue and Northwest Eighth Street.

Deputies said Ferris Finley, 43, was found dead in a white GMC pickup truck.

Relatives said they're not sure why Finley was in the neighborhood where he was killed. One of his friends said he last saw him at 2 a.m. Tuesday and said Finley told him that he was going home to the Lauderdale Manors area.

A motive for the shooting has not been released.
