Toilet issues, waste water 'coming through walls' force restaurant closure

MEDLEY, Fla. – Things were far from "sunny" at Sunny Subs Grill in Medley last week.

During a routine, unannounced state inspection, an inspector noted a serious plumbing issue.

Raw sewage was discovered inside the restaurant that was open for business.

The inspector noted wastewater "coming through the walls" as well.

Plumbing issues were also found at Delish Caribbean in Margate.

Records show Dan Peppas Express Jerk Chicken in West Park has been shut for a week because of a roach issue that continues to exist.

As of this publication, state records show Dan Pappas has not been allowed to re-open.

All the other places listed were allowed to reopen following an ordered cleanup and re-inspection.
