Gunman sought in fatal Pompano Beach shooting

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Broward sheriff's deputies are searching for gunman behind a fatal shooting in Pompano Beach.

The shooting was reported just before 10 p.m. Thursday at 1400 NW 31st Ave.

Deputies said Dwight Terrell McConn, 44, was found seriously injured from a gunshot wound.

He was taken by Pompano Beach Fire Rescue to Broward Health North, where he died minutes later.

Detectives established a perimeter in the area, but the gunman was not found.
