PETA offers $5K reward in stolen Hialeah horses case

Animal activists want to recover horses that vanished from ranch

HIALEAH, Fla. – The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the recovery of horses stolen from a ranch in Hialeah.

Colleen O'Brien, PETA's vice president, released a statement on Friday saying there was a fear that the animals were stolen to be slaughtered and chopped up for human consumption.

O'Brien was asking anyone with information about the abductors needs to call the Miami-Dade Police Department's agricultural patrol section at 786-218-8344.
