Man captured on surveillance video using victim's credit card

COOPER CITY, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a pair of thieves who they said stole an unlocked Tesla with the key fob inside in Cooper City.

Deputies said the duo was looking for unlocked vehicles to burglarize Friday when they came upon the Tesla S P90D with the owner's wallet inside.

Authorities said the thieves took the Tesla for a spin and abandoned it in Fort Lauderdale.

Surveillance video at a 7-Eleven in Plantation shows a man making a purchase a few hours later with the victim's credit card.

Detectives said the man arrived at the convenience store with another man who was wearing a light green T-shirt. They said it's unclear whether the second man played a role in the car theft.
