False bomb threat causes street closures in Doral

Doral Police Department takes precautions during false bomb threat

DORAL, Fla. – Police officers closed access to a row of businesses in Miami-Dade County's City of Doral for about two hours during an investigation on Saturday.

While police dogs looked for a bomb, police officers blocked the area of Northwest 79th Avenue between 33th and 34th Street near the Miami International Airport. They never found it.

The precautionary measures ensued after a business owner reported receiving an e-mail with a false bomb threat, according to the Doral Police Department.

Detectives were asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
