8-year-old boy injured during shooting in Miami Gardens

Detectives investigate Miami Gardens shooting

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Detectives were investigating a shooting on Saturday that left a boy injured at an apartment complex in Miami Gardens. 

A witness said a bullet grazed an 8-year-old boy, who required medical attention at a nearby hospital. 

Witnesses said they heard at least two shooters running down the hallway at The Oaks apartment complex at 17612 NW 25 Ave. 

Detectives found bullet holes in the walls of the hallway, and there was a smashed bullet on the ground and a shattered sliding glass door.

Detectives were asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
