Neighbors' disagreement leaves 72-year-old man dead, deputies say

Detectives investigate man's murder in Lauderdale Lakes


LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – A neighbors' quarrel in Lauderdale Lakes left a 72-year-old man dead on Wednesday, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. 

Detectives believe Antonio Grant fatally shot Oscar Monroe and ran away. Grant's brother was Monroe's neighbor.  

Deputies arrested Grant, 38, on Thursday. He is facing possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and tampering with evidence. 

Detectives were asking anyone with information about the murder to call BSO Homicide Detective Val Perez at 954-321-4356.
