CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The FBI has arrested a man who they said robbed a bank Friday in Coral Gables.

The robbery was reported at the Marquis Bank branch at 355 Alhambra Circle.

The incident transitioned to a bomb threat after police said the suspect left something behind inside the bank. The item was later determined to not be dangerous.

FBI spokesman Jim Marshall said Jorge L. Farah, 56, of Hialeah, faces federal charges and is expected to make an initial appearance Monday in court in Miami.

The Coral Gables Police Department, Hialeah Police Department, the South Florida Violent Crime Task Force and the FBI continue their investigation into the robbery.
