MIAMI – Six people were rescued Thursday from a boat that capsized about 10 miles northwest of Key West, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
The Coast Guard was notified about the 24-foot boat taking on water at about 4 p.m.
A rescue crew from Key West and a helicopter crew from Miami were deployed to save the boaters, according to the Coast Guard.
Rescuers reached the boat shortly before 4:30 p.m. and got all six people to safety.
The victims were given medical attention. They all appeared to be in good condition, the Coast Guard said.
