Man grabs backpack, fills it with headphones at Office Max, police say

Stolen merchandise worth about $575


HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Hollywood police are searching for a man who they said stole a backpack and dozens of headphones last month at an Office Max store.

The theft was reported shortly after 7 p.m. June 26 at the Office Max at 3900 Oakwood Blvd.

Police said a man was captured on surveillance video grabbing a black Swiss Gear backpack, worth about $100, and filling it with headphones.


Authorities said the theft happened in under five minutes, and said the thief got away with 18 JLab earbuds, worth about $200, and 23 Skull Candy earbuds, worth about $250.

The total loss between the bag and the headphones was about $575.
