LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A man who is known for his work with local rappers was wounded in an early Saturday morning shooting at an adult entertainment nightclub in Lauderhill.

The nightclub advertised "The Haitian Kay Kay Kingz and Queenz Edition" for the Friday night party. The event turned into panic and chaos about 3:20 a.m.

When the Lauderhill Police Department officers responded to Club 54 at 3135 W. Broward Blvd., "people were running out and there were people with blood on their shirts," Lt. Michael Santiago said.

The wounded man was at Broward General Hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition after undergoing surgery, according to Santiago.

According to friends, the victim's username on social media is Yoshi Smeceo. Online, they say he ran the Still Mobbing Everywhere record label and managed local rappers.

"Prayed up! God please protect my big bro," Rapper Japkodered wrote on Instagram and he used the hashtag "SME for life."
