4 injured after car crashes into nail salon in Hallandale Beach

3 patients treated at scene, 1 taken to hospital, authorities say

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Four people were injured Monday when a car crashed inside a nail salon in Hallandale Beach, authorities said.

The incident was reported at TK Nails & Spa at 2500 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd.

Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue officials said four people were injured, three of whom were treated at the scene.

"One of the women inside hurt her knee, but everyone was, like, in the back of the salon, which was a good thing because someone could have been killed," Judy Berger, who was inside the nail salon, said.

Authorities said the woman was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, but everyone else, including the driver was OK.

"I called 911 and the police officer came in and immediately took her keys," Berger said.

Minor structural damage was reported to the building.

Property owner Pat Segall said another elderly driver drove into the front window of another business at the strip mall several years ago.

"It's unfortunate, but we're in an area where we have older people, and I don't know how they fly over everything to get into the window, but obviously they can," he said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and it's unclear whether the driver will face charges.
