Man wearing sunglasses robs SunTrust Bank branch in Miami, FBI says

FBI: Thief claimed he had weapon

MIAMI – The FBI is searching for a man who they said robbed a SunTrust Bank branch Monday in Miami.

The robbery was reported at 2:11 p.m. at the SunTrust Bank at 8717 SW 24th St.

FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock said the man told employees that he had a weapon and demanded money.

There were customers inside the bank at the time, but no one was injured.

Leverock said an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
