Abandoned building catches fire in northeast Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – An abandoned building caught fire Thursday afternoon in northeast Miami-Dade, authorities said.

The fire was reported just after 3:30 p.m. at a commercial building in the area of Northeast 123rd Street and Sixth Avenue.

A photo taken by a passing driver shows heavy smoke coming from the building. 

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said no one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
